Port Harcourt community youths block road after clash with Rivers Task Force (Pictures)

Florence Uwaeme

Nkpogu road is currently blocked by youths of the community after Rivers state Task Force scattered and ruined people’s shop and businesses.

Road users have been advised to make use of other routes to avoid being stuck in the gridlock for the whole day.

According to our sources, the task force team in the bid to clear illegal structures from the road went overboard and destroyed people’s goods and tables.

This has however led to the youths gathering and chasing them away from the area.

It is also gathered that the community youths also sent the policemen sent to the area to calm the situation away.

Road users are currently advised to use alternative routes.
