Breaking: Scores die in stampede in Port Harcourt

No less than five persons have died in a stampede at the Tii-Ama inks nation market centre in Rumuodara.

Thousands of people from Obio Akpor, Emohua and Ikwerre local government areas where told to gather there by their exchangers, Pinkcoin, an online blockchain digital assets firm, to buy market from the amount in their wallet, without proper organization or crowd control.

It was learnt that as early as 7.30am, a mammoth crowd gathered at the venue, all struggling to gain access into the premises.

The Rivers State police spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni, said the command is working to calm the situation.
