Channels Television reporter, Mr Pius Angbo has come under fire for brutalizing his wife.
Dr Ifeanyinwa Angbo, a medical doctor in Owerri said during the weekend that her husband inflicted bodily injuries on her for telling him not to spend money on women.
She said in a video that has now gone viral on the Internet that she had their fourth baby four weeks ago, adding that they have been married for six years.
The incident attracted a lot of attention on the Internet with users calling for his sack and prosecution.
Channels TV in a statement said it was investigating the incident, adding that it does not condone violence against women.
“Channels Television does not condone violence against women or anyone in general.
” The domestic violence matter reported against one of our reporters is being investigated and appropriate action will be taken”, the statement said.
