Residents accuse Wike’s palliative committee of sharing reliefs to only Rivers indigenes

The Ambassador Desmond Akowor-led Rivers State COVID-19 Palliative Distribution Committee has been accused of distributing palliatives to only indigenes of Rivers State and disregarding non-indigenes.

Non-indigenes, especially in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area told Theportcitynews that the food items are shared mainly according to family compound and along political lines, adding that homes of non-indigenes are usually jumped by members of the committee.

They alleged that a packet of macaroni is being given to each man while a packet of noodles is given to each child in communities in Obio-Akpor.
