Gunmen attack vigilante members in Port Harcourt, shoot one

Unknown gunmen said to be cultists attacked members of Diobu Vigilante group, leaving one with a gunshot wound on the buttocks.

The attackers said to be numbering about four targetted the vigilante members on Tuesday night at Dick-Tiger street of Illabouchi axis, Mile 2 Diobu.

Secretary of the Diobu Vigilante group, Prince Amatari told theportcitynews that gunmen stormed the street at about 8:20 PM in a Toyota Camry sedan and opened fire, shooting one of their members.

He said the attackers were armed with AK 47 riffles adding that one Mr Kelvin Dappa was shot on the buttocks.

He said the injured member is currently receiving treatment at the Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, adding that the issue was also reported to Azikiwe Divisional Police Headquarters.
