EFCC detains sacked Amnesty Boss.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has detained Brig.-Gen Paul Boroh retd, the sacked former Special Adviser on Niger Delta to the President as part of investigations into his tenure and seized $9 million (Nine million USD) from his Gwarimpa residence in Abuja during a joint operation between officials of the agency and those from the office of the National Security Adviser, NSA,report was given on Boroh in January after President Muhammadu Buhari gave his consent to his removal following a request by Transport Minister, Mr. Rotimi Amaechi who cited his inefficiency.

Professor Charles Dokubo was announced as new head of the Amnesty programme with the President directing the NSA, Maj.-Gen. Babagana Monguno (rtd), to conduct an investigation into Boroh’s tenure.

A report in citing a security source said Boroh was picked up from his home in Gwarinpa, Abuja, on Monday, but was taken back to his residence at about 3 a.m. Tuesday by the security operatives who raided his house for hours and made the cash discovery of $9 million at his home.

Boroh was still being held by the agency as at Tuesday night.
