6 Division of the Nigerian Army, begins routine firearms training exercise, warns residence to stay off Army shooting range

6 Division of the Nigerian Army, Port Harcourt has said it will begin its routine firearms training exercise from today Monday March 19th 2018 till Friday, March 23rd 2018, at the Nigerian Army shooting range, Igwuruta.

The deputy director, Army public relations, Colonel Aminu Iliyasu says the exercise which will hold between 6am to 5pm daily, is inline with the Nigeria Army training directives, 2018.

Colonel Aminu Iliyasu said that the exercise is to ascertain the professional competence of the troops on the use of firearms, and sharpen their marksmanship with the primary goal of improving there overall skills.

The statement advised the public, particularly residents, commuters and farmers within the Igwuruta army range general area, to stay clear of the range area, throughout the duration of the exercise, from today till Friday.
