Court grants Kelly Nwogu N70 million bail

A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has granted bail to Kelly Nwogu, the Managing Director of livelihood homes owners of D’Villa.

Kelly Nwogu and the livelihood homes are standing trial on four count charges bothering on conspiracy and advance fee fraud.

The Presiding Judge, Justice Oshomah while delivering his ruling on the bail application filed by two defendants granted Kelly Nwogu and livelihood homes limited bail to the tune of 70 million naira each and three sureties.
The Judge ruled that one of the sureties must be the father of the first defendant Kelly Nwogu.
The other sureties must be owners of landed properties and directors of a company or civil servants not less than grade level 14.
Our correspondent reports that the matter was adjourned to the 28, 29 and 30th of April for trial.
In the meantime, one of the lawyers of the Police Celestine Dickson said they are ready for the trial of Kelly Nwogu and livelihood homes.

Celestine Dickson said that the Police have enough evidence to prove that Kelly Nwogu is guilty of the charges leveled against him.

The lawyer of the victims of D’Villa, Kingsley Mbamara said they will ensure that justice is done in the matter.
