Youth body decries marginalization by multinationals operating in Ogu communities

The state house of Assembly has referred a petition presented on the floor of the house from Ogu Youths Congress to committee on public complains and petition, youth employment and the local content committee over the allege absent of job employment and marginalization of Ogu people in the area.

The petition presented on the floor of the house by the lawmaker representing Emoaha constituency, SAM OGE said the people have been neglected and there is need to address the issues in the area.

Oge said companies operating in Ogu town of Ogu/Bolo local government area have failed in their own corporate social responsibilities to address the issues of empowerment and job opportunities to enhance peace and development in the area.

He said that the youth body are requesting that the state assembly should as a matter of urgency intervene into the matter
