Kelechi Kas
The Adhoc committee set up by the Rivers State House of Assembly on the Serial killing has said it will close down any hotel that fails to comply with the laid down rules guiding hotel business in the state.

The Chairman of the committee, Kelechi Wogu stated this on Wednesday during stakeholders meeting with hoteliers, entertainers and the state ministry of culture and tourism at the auditorium of the state assembly in Port-Harcourt.

Wogu said the reason for the meeting was to discourse and come up with a law to further regulate hotels’ activities in the state.

The Chairman, Nigeria Hotel Association, EUGENE NWAUZI said its 10 Point agenda set up should be reflected in the proposed law to regulate hotels in the state.

Meanwhile, some hoteliers in their separate contributions appealed that the assembly should ensure it set up a law that will address the security issues affecting hotels in the state.
