Breaking: South Africa’s High Commissioner To Nigeria Denies Xenophobic Attacks

Bobby Monroe, South Africa’s High Commissioner to Nigeria, on Tuesday denied reports of Xenophobic attacks against Nigerians the country.

The envoy at a media briefing with Nigeria’s foreign affairs ministry headed by Geoffery Onyeama denied that the attacks in South Africa are xenophobic and targetted at Nigerians, Channels TV reports.

He described the attacks as ‘sporadic acts of violence’ adding that businesses belonging to other South Africans were also affected in the violence.

Geoffrey Onyeama, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, on Tuesday, had summoned the South African High Commissioner to Nigeria following the xenophobic attacks on Nigerians and other African South Africa.
