Breaking: Students flee as gunmen take over Rivers State University

Rivers State University is currently in a state of turmoil as gunmen raided the school premises on Tuesday.

The gunshots were due to reprisal attacks over the killing of a final year student on.

The deceased, Prince Tuaka, was shot dead by the unknown gunmen at the university campus a few hours after his final year exams on Monday afternoon.

According to an eye witness, the deceased was accosted by two men opposite the NDDC female hostel and shot at close range.

Students who spoke to theportcitynews on Tuesday said the shooting halted academic activities.
