A middle-aged man has been arrested for killing his 13-year-old son.
The man whose name was not obtained by theportcitynews.com was arrested on Thursday evening at Rumuekini, Obio/Akpor local government area of Rivers State.
He said the devil pushed him to commit the dastard act.
Police recovered the remains of the deceased son and to it with the suspect to the Rumuokoro police station.
Our correspondent gathered the development threw the community into a state of shock, adding that the wife of the suspect collapsed and has been admitted into an undisclosed hospital.
The Rivers state police command through its spokesman, Nnamdi Omoni did not immediately respond to our request for comments on the matter.
