2 feared dead in Oyigbo pipeline fire (Video)

Two persons have reportedly died following a pipeline explosion in Oyigbo local government area of Rivers state.

Theportcitynews gathered that the incident which occurred on Saturday morning terrified residents of KomKom at Afam Road in Oyigbo.

The reason for the fire was attributed to the activities of illegal crude refiners who operate in the area.

Eye witness told theportcitynews that two persons were killed in the blast while three persons were fatally wounded.

It was also gathered that the Oyigbo council Chairman, Clifford Ugorji visited the scene and said no property was destroyed by the inferno.

He said efforts are on to put out the fire caused by the explosion.
