The Youth Resource Centre Hosts Its Third Edition of “Youth Festival of Life” in Bonny Island

The Youth Resource Centre is an organization that sees to the holistic development of secondary school students by engaging them through the creative display of their talents and innovative tendencies.

According to Mr. Babayo Bitrus, the manager of The Youth Resource Centre, this year’s event will feature drama, cultural heritage display by different schools, science exhibition, Art and Craft, Spoken Word, choir presentation.

The Youth Festival of Life is targeted at encouraging and promoting students of secondary school students to enhance their individual talents while representing their various schools. ”This year, we have been able to register more than one thousand five hundred students (1500) from eighteen (18) different schools for this event. And we are expecting not less than a hundred (100) guests from different strata of the society.

“We are optimistic that prominent sons and daughters of Rivers state will grace the event with their presence. We also look forward to our special guests picking one or two innovative students for educational sponsorship”, said Mr. Bitrus on a phone conversation with our reporter.

According to Mr. Bitrus, the event will be held for two days. The first day is solely for the cultural display from the students from different schools, while the second day will kick-off with spoken word followed by the showcase of Arts and Craft.

The Youth Festival of life will be held at Banise Hall on the 10th (Friday) and 11th (Saturday) of May 2019.
