Police mobilize bomb squad at INEC office in Port Harcourt

Security has been tightened at the Port Harcourt office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The Rivers State Police Command mobilised bomb squads around routes to the INEC office on Friday afternoon.

There were also specialized gadgets deployed by the police to checkmate any crime occurrence.

The Police also deployed sniffing dogs around the vicinity to aid in security.

The commission also said that it has completed the distribution of sensitive materials around the 23 local government areas of the state.

The commission also urged residents to be peaceful in their conduct on Saturday.
