N’ Delta group promises massive votes for Buhari’s re-election

Brave Dickson

A political group known as United Niger Delta for Buhari has promised no fewer than 500,000 votes from each state of the region for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari on February 16, 2019.

The group came up with this during its inauguration in Port Harcourt on Saturday, insisting that President Buhari must complete two terms in order to return power to the South in 2023.

In his inaugural speech, the Chairman of the group, Chief Anab Sara Igbe said states in the Niger Delta can not afford to be playing opposition to the central government, urging the people of the region to massively vote for the re-election of President Buhari in the forthcoming presidential election.

Chief Sara Igbe said, “Buhari is a good man who loves the people of the Niger Delta region. A lot of our people did not vote for him in the 2015 general elections because of our brother that contested the election too. The president did not look at that but rather went ahead to appoint illustrious sons and daughters from the region into key positions of government. Today, we have the ministers of transport, petroleum resources, budget and national planning just a few to mention all from the Niger Delta.

“I believe if we give him our mass votes this time, he will do more,” The chairman of the group said.

Among other inaugurated exco members of the group is the President, National Youth Council of Nigeria, Amb. Sokubo Sara Igbe Sokubo serving as youth coordinator of the group.

The accepting of a leadership position in the Buhari political group by Amb. Sokubo has increased insinuation that the national youth council president has endorsed Buhari for the second term and was ready to work for his re-election.
