Killings: Locals ask police to beef up security in Ubima

Ubima community residents in Ikwerre Local Government Area have called on the Inspector General of Police, Idris Ibrahim to provide security for the community due to the incessant cult-related killings, Kidnappings and social vices in the area.

This was after a 58-year-old man was hacked to death in his house a week ago while another young man was killed on Friday by some suspected rival cultists in the community.

Some youths believed to be cultists had gone on rampage on Saturday with buildings and properties worth millions of naira destroyed.

Some of the residents who spoke to theportcitynews said the killings have grounded economic activities in the area and called on relevant authorities to beef up security in the area.
