Udube unveiled as Go Round Technical Adviser

The former Naze Millionaires and Pride of Rivers coach has expressed his gratitude to the management of the Rivers State team
Newly unveiled Technical Adviser of Go Round, Willie Udube has expressed his appreciation to the management of the club for the trust they have in him to handle the team in their second season in the top flight.

Udube joined the club during the mid-season of last season as chief coach but was upgraded to become the Technical Adviser following the departure of Ngozi Elechi to Yobe Desert Stars while Justin Smart formerly of Cynosure FC will serve as the chief coach of the club.

The former Heartland and Rivers United coach believes that his performance last season could have been the reason for his elevation and he stressed that it is his resolve to ensure that he keeps the club in the NPFL beyond the coming season.

“I am very impressed that I have people like the Team Manager and other members of the crew for supporting me,” Udube told Go Round media.

“I was unveiled some months ago as the chief coach of this team and I know quite well that performance speaks for people so the little thing we did was why I was upgraded to this position.”

Smart who was also unveiled as chief coach of the club said he believes he can achieve a lot with Go Round.

“Originally I never expected this but then for the Team Manager to have believed in me I also believe I can do a lot here,” he told Go Round media.

“Go Round is a big team and I know with what is on the ground, the sky will be our beginning.”

David Dosu who previously worked with Gateway United and First Bank as goalkeeper trainer has also been brought in to continue with the same role while Abiye Iyalla and Peter Abaje are to act as the assistant coach and Video Analyst respectively
