The Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Andrew Uchendu, says that the federal government has failed Rivers State people by its decision not to repair federal roads linking the state.
The senator decried the poor state of some section of the East-West road and Aba port Harcourt express road. According to him, “the Federal Government has failed my people by not fixing the bad spot of East-West road and Aba-Port Harcourt expressway which has hindered the flow of business and movement of persons in the area”.
Uchendu added that the people of his senatorial district will not accept anything less than better roads that will help in the movement of goods, persons and vehicle.
He however, disclosed that he has discussed with the Minister of Works, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs and FERMA and they assured him that rapid actions will to be taken in days to come.
