Man beats daughter’s lover to coma in Igwuruta

A man at Omuwei in Igwuruta in Ikwerre Local government area of Rivers State has reportedly beaten his daughter’s boyfriend to coma.

The incident which happened in the early hours of Thursday, September 13th 2018, was a melodrama as residents watched from all corners as the said lover popularly known as Boyoyo was humiliated by the girl’s father.

Theportcitynews gathered that the girl’s father simply identified as Mr Lazarus had severally warned his daughter to desist from her love affair with Boyoyo, saying he does not like the way the boy behaves.

The girl, however, persisted.

But on Thursday, the enraged father who could not find her daughter throughout the night met her in the early hours of Thursday morning with the same boy he had warned her to stop following.

The lover challenged the girl’s father after a verbal altercation and referred to him as ‘local man’ which eventually led to the assault.

The man later took the boy to a nearby pharmacy where he was resuscitated.
