Nigeria’s Olympic Eagles have welcomed two more players to camp as preparations continue for their 2028 Olympic Games qualifying tie against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo).
The latest arrivals are Bawa Prince of Nasarawa United and Ayodeji Abayomi of Ikorodu City, bringing the number of players in camp to 25.
Their arrival adds to the squad as the coaching crew intensifies preparations for the two-legged encounter.
The team held its morning training session on Tuesday at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Ogun State, focusing on tactical organisation and technical drills.
The Olympic Eagles are also scheduled to hold another training session later on Tuesday, from 5pm to 7pm.
Nigeria’s U-23 side will face DR Congo in the first leg on November 13, with the return fixture scheduled for November 17 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.
The winner of the tie will advance to face the winner of the corresponding encounter between Zambia and Burkina Faso in the next qualifying round.
With 25 players now in camp, the Olympic Eagles will continue working towards building the cohesion and match fitness needed to progress in the qualifying campaign.
