The Chief Medical Director of the Rivers State Hospital Management Board, Dr Bright Ogbonda, has welcomed the Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, to the commissioning of the upgraded Neuropsychiatric Hospital and the newly constructed General Hospital in Rumuigbo.
In a statement issued on behalf of the management and staff of the Board, Dr Ogbonda commended the governor for his commitment to improving healthcare delivery across Rivers State.
He said the completion and upgrading of the facilities reflected the state government’s efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and improve access to quality medical services for residents.
Dr Ogbonda expressed the Board’s readiness to ensure that the facilities operate effectively and provide the necessary services to patients.

He assured the governor that the management and staff would remain committed to maintaining the facilities and ensuring that healthcare services are delivered efficiently.
According to him, the projects will contribute to improving the standard of healthcare and provide residents with better access to medical care within the state.
Dr Ogbonda described the commissioning as a significant milestone in the development of the state’s healthcare sector.
He thanked Governor Fubara and his entourage for attending the event, while reaffirming the Board’s commitment to supporting government efforts to improve healthcare delivery across Rivers State.
