AS Roma made a flying start to their Serie A campaign with a convincing 4-0 victory over Fiorentina at the Stadio Olimpico, extending their league winning streak to six matches.
Paulo Dybala was instrumental in the victory, providing assists for all three of Donyell Malen’s goals as Roma dominated large periods of the game.
Malen opened the scoring in the 27th minute after Dybala created space before setting him up to finish past David de Gea. The Dutch forward doubled Roma’s lead shortly after the restart, firing into the roof of the net following another assist from Dybala.

The pair combined again for Malen’s third, with Dybala reaching the byline and cutting the ball back for a simple finish to complete his hat-trick.
Roma added a fourth late on when Niccolò Pisilli capitalised on a loose ball inside the box to beat De Gea.
The victory extended Roma’s impressive home form and offered Gian Piero Gasperini’s side an early boost, while Fiorentina face questions after a disappointing opening-day performance.
