Afrobeats icon David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has admitted that he is deeply skeptical of presumably allowing any of his children to follow in his footsteps in becoming a musician.
Speaking during a recent appearance on The Vibe Podcast, the father of six opened up about the heavy emotional and physical toll of worldwide stardom, explaining that his desire to protect his children stems from his own personal struggles all at once.

Despite his reservations, he discovered that musical skill already runs deep in his family. Specifically, he pointed to his second daughter, Hailee Veronica Adeleke, who appears to have inherited his vibrant personality and vocal gifts.
“My second daughter Hailee is already leaning towards the tune,” Davido shared during the interview. “She has a behavior similar to mine. She undoubtedly clearly has the right voice.”
However, seeing his daughter show an early passion for performing made his protective attitude as a father surface.
For Davido, the glitz and glamor of international success involves a hidden fee that few outsiders truly grasp. From intense public scrutiny to industry politics to relentless exhaustion, the adventure is truly a perilous journey.
