PlotWeaver is developing a new generation of conversational artificial intelligence agents designed to communicate naturally in English, Nigerian Pidgin and major Nigerian languages while carrying out business tasks through telephone calls, WhatsApp and connected enterprise systems.
At the centre of the platform is Àdùnní, PlotWeaver’s conversational AI agent, which is being developed to conduct voice conversations, retain context, switch between languages, make and receive calls, schedule meetings, retrieve information, and interact with business applications.
Unlike conventional chatbots that primarily respond to questions, PlotWeaver’s agents are designed to perform practical business workflows. These include qualifying customers, following up on sales leads, managing appointments, responding to customer enquiries, and escalating issues to human teams when necessary.
“One of the biggest changes coming to AI is that it will move beyond the screen,” said Wole Fagbohun, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of PlotWeaver.
“The next generation of AI will speak to customers, make calls, use business tools and take actions on behalf of organisations,” he added.

A major focus of PlotWeaver’s development is multilingual code-switching, including conversations that move naturally between English, Nigerian Pidgin, Yoruba, Hausa and Igbo.
The company is testing the technology under real-world conditions, including different Nigerian accents, interruptions, noisy telephone connections and multilingual conversations.
Fagbohun said the opportunity is particularly significant for African businesses, where voice calls and messaging remain important channels for customer engagement.
“AI should not require a Nigerian customer to speak differently before the technology can serve them. We are building systems that understand the way people actually communicate,” he said.
PlotWeaver believes conversational AI can help Nigerian businesses increase their operational capacity across sales, customer service, appointment management and internal workflows without requiring organisations to abandon the communication channels they already use.
