Delta IGR Surpasses ₦200bn as Oghenesivbe Credits Oborevwori’s Reforms

The Director-General of the Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications, Dr. Fred Latimore Oghenesivbe, says the Delta State Internally Generated Revenue has really gone up.

He thinks this is because of the leadership of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori and the good work of the Delta State Internal Revenue Service.

Dr. Oghenesivbe made this statement in Asaba. He said the increase in the state’s Internally Generated Revenue from about ₦84 billion in 2023 to over ₦200 billion is very impressive.

This shows that Governor Oborevwori’s plans for the state are working well. The Governor’s M.O.R.E. Agenda is about making sure the state has enough money, growing the economy, and managing finances well.

Dr. Oghenesivbe also praised the Executive Chairman of the Delta State Internal Revenue Service, Hon. Solomon. His team.

He said they are doing a job of putting the Governor’s economic plans into action. The Delta State Internal Revenue Service has made the state’s revenue base stronger.

They have done this by changing the way things are done, using technology to collect taxes, and making sure people pay their taxes.

The Director-General said the state now has money to spend on important things like roads, hospitals, schools, and security. This is because the Delta State Internal Revenue Service has found ways to get money without asking people to pay more taxes.

Dr. Oghenesivbe said it is great that the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission praised Delta State. This shows that the state is doing well with its finances.

Delta State is now known as a state that collects its money well, runs its taxes in a transparent way, and manages its finances well.

The Delta State Bureau for Orientation and Communications Director-General said Governor Oborevwori’s investments in farming and industries.

Working with private companies is helping the state’s economy grow. These investments are creating jobs. Making life better for people in Delta State.
