Six students from Lucile Education Center in Bonny Local Government Area, Rivers State, have received educational support courtesy of the Deputy Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dumle Maol.
The deputy speaker during the commissioning of the Bonny fire station promised to pay the school fees of the six pupils who made a presentation at the event.
Overwhelmed by their performance, Maol fulfilled his promise on Thursday, July 2, 2026, by completely paying their fees as a way of supporting their education.

The deputy speaker said the gesture was aimed at encouraging young talents and pupils to give their best in their educational pursuit.
The gesture was widely applauded by members of the Bonny community, with many describing it as a demonstration of the lawmaker’s commitment to supporting education.
Parents of the six beneficiaries, as well as Chairman of Bonny Local Government Area, Amasenibo Hon. Abinye Blessing Pepple, expressed appreciation to the deputy speaker.
Pepple commended Maol for keeping his promise and for his generosity, noting that the support would go a long way in encouraging the students to excel in their academic pursuits.
