A woman with six children is presently fighting for her life following a serious road mishap in Ekeremor Community of Bayelsa State, which resulted in injuries and an immediate amputation of one of her legs.
According to information shared on Wednesday, the woman slipped off a commercial motorcycle and got hit by a large trailer, causing serious injury to her legs, after which she was rushed to the Federal Medical Center for necessary checks, which revealed the need for a major operation that led to her losing a leg.
The report noted that she is still in a very serious state and under intensive care.
Mrs. Deme Debra Eriye Pamosoo, Chairman, Ekeremor Rural Development Authority (RDA), who paid her a visit in the hospital, expressed regret at the unfortunate turn of events.

However, it should be noted that members of the Ekeremor Federated Community in the Diaspora, headed by President Dr. Massa Ebimoghan, had been visiting the hospital on daily basis to boost the spirits of the victim and her relations.
As she indicated, this move is among the initiatives undertaken to motivate the family, pray for the victim, and help mobilize more assistance for her health care.
Mrs. Pamosoo added that the chairman of the Ekeremor LGA, Hon. Isaac Onniye, was already made aware of the development, and he is ready to assist the victim’s family.
The plea from Mrs. Pamosoo is calling upon all good-hearted people, philanthropists, and other organisations to come to the aid of the victims since her medical costs keep increasing, considering that her condition is still critical.
The prayers continued to be held for the victim’s speedy recovery as well as the appreciation that she survived the initial shock of the accident despite her severe injuries.
