The All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared that President Bola Tinubu has fully earned a second term in office, arguing that his administration has confronted national insecurity with an aggressive effectiveness unmatched by any previous Nigerian leader.
The assertion was made by the APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, during an appearance on a popular TV station.
Morka insisted that the ruling party’s confidence in Tinubu’s 2027 reelection bid is heavily anchored on visible internal security breakthroughs.
He maintained that despite ongoing challenges within the Sahel region, the incumbent administration’s defense architecture has yielded substantial progress across volatile areas.
The party spokesperson urged critics to analyze empirical military data, asserting that the current tactical operational model has put adversaries on the defensive.
He said Tinubu had tackled insecurity more than any president before him.
Defending the administration’s counter-terrorism scorecards, Morka pointed to the high neutralization rate of criminal elements as evidence of a repositioned military.
He argued that the coordination between intelligence components and frontline troops has successfully disrupted major criminal syndicates.
According to Morka, the volume of high-profile bandit leaders and foot soldiers eliminated in recent field operations vastly outpaces the figures recorded during previous political dispensations.
The public endorsement comes just weeks after Tinubu won the party ticket after the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) waived the mandatory screening requirements for him.
Morka added that Tinubu’s fiscal and security overhauls have dismantled long-standing distortions across the country, positioning Nigeria for sustainable recovery.
He called on citizens to sustain their patience with the administration, promising that the benefits of these hard-fought victories will continue to stabilize household security nationwide.
He defended Tinubu’s economic reforms and noted that the country’s economic structure before 2023 was built on unsustainable policies and artificial figures.
He said this during a fierce exchange between Jim and the opposition Social Democratic Party (SDP) after SDP presidential candidate in the 2023 election, by, criticised the Tinubu administration’s handling of the economy.
Adebayo argued that many Nigerians had experienced worsening living conditions since Tinubu assumed office.
He also claimed that the administration created a false sense of financial growth through the sharp depreciation of the naira.
Responding to the criticism, Morka dismissed comparisons between Nigeria’s current economic realities and the situation inherited by Tinubu in 2023.
According to him, many of the economic figures at the time failed to reflect the country’s true fiscal condition.
