Niger Delta Social Media Bloggers Meet Westpaq CEO in Port Harcourt

The Founder and Convener of the Niger Delta Social Media Bloggers Association (NDSMBA), Asitonaa Pokima Amasa, led a delegation on a courtesy and familiarization visit to Alabo Samuel Biokpo Diminas, Chief Executive Officer of Westpaq International, at his residence in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The visit formed part of efforts to strengthen relationships with key stakeholders in the Niger Delta and encourage ethical practices within the region’s growing digital media space.

During the engagement, the delegation also interacted with Engr. Ngowari Diminas, a board-level executive and engineering leader. Her participation further enriched the discussion as the meeting focused on building stronger partnerships and encouraging responsible communication in the digital landscape.

Members of the delegation included national and state coordinators such as Kenneth Okpara from Imo State, Mr. Ezekiel from Akwa Ibom State, and Sam Dogitimi from Bayelsa State. The visit aimed to promote collaboration between the association and industry leaders while encouraging bloggers and digital content creators to maintain professionalism and integrity in their reporting.

Alabo Samuel Biokpo Diminas warmly received the team and expressed appreciation for the visit. He advised members of the team, saying,  “uphold ethics, professionalism, and focus as emerging voices in the digital space. Further emphasized that disciplined and responsible storytelling remains critical to shaping positive narratives and driving sustainable development across the Niger Delta & beyond”.

He further emphasized the global outlook of his company and its commitment to supporting young professionals across different sectors.

“We are a US Company, having a subsidiary in Nigeria. Part of our focus across the globe is ensuring Young Industry players are carried along & also supported across different sectors. We Love what you do for your different Local Communities & at such we must encourage you to do better & also uphold integrity in your story telling”.

In response, Amasa expressed appreciation to Diminas for granting the delegation audience and for the advice shared with members. He noted that the engagement further affirmed the association’s commitment to promoting integrity-driven communication and responsible storytelling in the digital media space.
