Two suspected car thieves were arrested in Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, following their alleged involvement in a stolen vehicle.
This was revealed in a statement made available to TPCN, where the Eleme Local Government Chairman, Chief Obariollormate Ollor, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to tackling criminal activities within the area.
Ollor had earlier declared the LGA an unsafe haven for criminals, insisting that anyone involved in any form of criminality and social vices would face the full wrath of the law.
According to him, “Eleme will no longer serve as a haven for criminals and lawless individuals.
“All directives aimed at securing Eleme would be strictly enforced, and we assure residents of sustained efforts to ensure safety and order across the local government area.
“Let me also categorically reaffirm the zero-tolerance stance on jungle justice and affirm my administration’s commitment to upholding the rule of law.”

“The suspects were apprehended after investigations traced them to a stolen Toyota Corolla reportedly hidden along New Road in Onne on April 5, 2026.
“Following weeks of monitoring and manhunt, the suspects were eventually arrested, with authorities confirming that they admitted involvement in the crime during preliminary interrogation.”
The suspects have been handed over to the Police for further investigations and possible prosecution if found guilty.
