NNL Celebrates Outstanding Performers for December, January and February

The Nigeria National League has announced the winners of its monthly awards for December 2025, as well as January and February 2026, recognising outstanding performances across the league.

For December 2025, Stormers SC forward Ajibola Joel finished as the highest goal scorer, while Emmanuel S. Daniel of Ranchers Bees FC was named Best Goalkeeper. Head coach Paul Offor of Akwa United FC claimed the Best Coach award, with Kada Warriors FC recognised as the Best Behaved Team.

The Most Valuable Player award went to Yaro Zakari of Yobe Desert Stars FC, while Daniel Gothom of Akwa United scored the Goal of the Month. Akporogene Ajigeye was named Best Referee.

In January 2026, Tony Ayang of Rovers FC emerged as the highest goal scorer, while Aloysius Thankgod of Akwa United won the Best Goalkeeper award. Offor continued his impressive run by securing the Best Coach award for the second consecutive month, with Rovers FC also named Best Behaved Team.

Victor Samuel of Sporting Lagos FC was named the Most Valuable Player, while Babarinde Taofeek of Gateway FC scored the Goal of the Month. Eke Henry received the Best Referee honour.

For February 2026, Innocent Idi of City FC finished as the highest goal scorer, while Alo Chukwu Pascal of Abakaliki FC was named Best Goalkeeper.

The Best Coach award again went to Paul Offor of Akwa United, completing an impressive three month sweep. Lobi Stars FC were recognised as the Best Behaved Team, while Obisesan Sodiq of Osun United FC claimed the Most Valuable Player award.

Jaffar Ojo of Smart City FC won the Goal of the Month award, while Mudashir Shehu was named Best Referee.

The Nigeria National League confirmed that the presentation ceremony for the awards will take place on Monday, March 30, 2026.
