Job creation will resolve insecurity in Ogoni Land – Peter Medee

The President of KAGOTE, a socio-cultural organization in Ogoni, Dr Peter Medee has regretted the lingering insecurity situation in Ogoni Land, saying it can only be resolved through the creation of jobs for the teeming youths in the area.

He made this known when speaking about the recent clashes between Bomu and Lewe communities in Gokana Local Government, which has led to the destruction of lives and properties.

“The major way out to solve the insecurity in Ogoni Land is to see what we can do to boost the economy of Ogoni Land, by way of strengthening employment generating ventures and productive activities.

“That will go a long way by reassuring the youths that all is well.

“Also It is important that the Federal Government facilitates every effort they are doing for the speedy implementation of the UNEP report. That will also create jobs and employ many youths, which will help curb insecurity in Ogoni Land.
