Yuletide Gesture: Ex-PHALGA Chairman Reaches Out to Women Supporters of Gov Fubara

In the spirit of the Yuletide season, marked by love, gratitude, and sharing, former Chairman of Port Harcourt City Local Government Area, Hon. Ezebunwo Ichemati, and his wife, Mrs. Hannah Ezebunwo-Ichemati, has extended a goodwill gesture to resilient women in the area.

The outreach, described as a token of appreciation, recognised the women’s unwavering loyalty to Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, their firm belief in his Renewed Hope agenda, and their sustained support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR.

Speaking on the initiative, Hon. Ichemati said the gesture was driven by deep compassion for humanity and a desire to give back to the community, spreading joy, hope, and goodwill during the festive period.

He emphasised that this is just the beginning, with more acts of kindness and support planned in the coming days, by God’s grace.

The former council boss also used the occasion to rally the women ahead of Governor Fubara’s scheduled visit to Port Harcourt on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, for the commissioning of the new Federal High Court Complex.

He urged mothers and sisters in the local government to turn out en masse to give the governor a rousing and deserving welcome, highlighting the project’s significance in enhancing access to justice.

The event which was attended by women underscores the strong grassroots support base for Governor Fubara in Port Harcourt City, amid ongoing efforts to deliver democratic dividends to Rivers people.
