Just in: Lawmakers serve impeachment notice on Ortom

Some lawmakers of the Benue State House of Assembly on Monday served an impeachment notice on Governor Samuel Ortom.

Channels TV reports that the lawmakers who served the impeachment notice on the state governor are the eight All Progressives Congress members of the House.

The spokesperson for the eight lawmakers told journalists that the House has commenced impeachment proceedings against Governor Ortom on the allegations of diversion of state funds and abuse of office.
