Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara has urged corps members posted to the state to maximise the NYSC Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme to become self-reliant and contribute to Nigeria’s economic growth.
Speaking during the 2025 Batch C Stream 1 swearing-in ceremony at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Nonwa-Gbam, Tai LGA Governor Fubara pledged to continue supporting the NYSC scheme.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara, who was represented by the Secretary to the Rivers State Government, Dr. Benibo Anabraba while reiterating his administration’s commitment to lifting young Nigerians out of poverty through deliberate economic policies urged the Corp members to utilize the skill acquisition programs that have been designed to support their development.

Governor Fubara added that his administration will through policies that promote productivity, discipline, and self-development shape the corp members into future leaders
Earlier, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Moses Oleghe, advised the corps members to approach their service year with dedication, describing it as an opportunity to strengthen national unity.

A total of two thousand, six hundred and fourteen. corps members one thousand eighty-three males and one thousand five hundred thirty-one females took the oath of allegiance administered by the Chief Judge of Rivers State, Justice Simeon Amadi who was represented by Justice Comfort Adangor.
