Tinubu Pledges to Uphold Buhari’s Legacy in Kaduna Visit

President Bola Tinubu paid a visit to Kaduna on Friday, where he reaffirmed his commitment to carrying on the legacy of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari.

During his visit to Buhari’s family, Tinubu was received by the late leader’s widow, Aisha Buhari, and their son, Yusuf Buhari. “We are just here to assure you that we share in your grief, we share in your pain,” Tinubu stated.

He described Buhari’s enduring spirit as one of “hard work, dedication, patriotism and honesty,” and promised to continue on that path.

The President was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, several state governors, and ministers.

In an emotional response, Aisha thanked Tinubu for his support. She urged Nigerians to emulate her late husband’s virtues of “honesty, integrity, tolerance, accountability, and justice” and prayed for unity and peace in the nation.

Acting as the groom’s representative, Tinubu formally accepted the marriage on behalf of the Yari family after the bride’s representative, Ibrahim Ashiru, confirmed the payment of the N1 million dowry.

Tinubu congratulated the couple and urged them to build their marriage on the principles of faith, love, and mutual respect.

The event was attended by numerous political figures, traditional rulers, and business leaders from across the country.
