Professional Hunters Urge Rivers Residents to Embrace Peace

A security organisation known as the Professional Hunters Association in Nigeria (PROHAN) has urged the people of Rivers State to embrace peace, stressing that PROHAN will do all it can to enhance the security of lives and property in the state.

PROHAN made this known when its Deputy National Director Operations, Emeka Michael, paid a courtesy visit to the new Commander of PROHAN in Rivers State, Retired Army Sergeant Davies Benibo, in Degema Local Government Area of the state.

The national leader of PROHAN further called on the youths of the state to be members of professional hunters and work with the conventional security agencies to make the state safer for everyone.

On his part, the state commander assured the general public of his leadership’s resolve in flushing out criminals in the state, adding that his leadership has zero tolerance for crime and criminality.

Benibo said since he assumed duty as the state commander, his team has been working tirelessly to make sure that communities in the state no longer serve as safe haven for hoodlums.

He also maintained that the cooperation he has received from the heads of security agencies in the state had been cordial, as he warned those perpetrating crime and criminality in the state to desist forthwith, insisting that he will apply tougher measures within the ambit of the law to nip crime in the bud.

The state commander further hinted that he has established an active security architecture across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state with a sound intelligence gathering network for the purpose of keeping the state safe and secure.
