Opobo/Nkoro Chairman Proclaims 8th Legislative

The Executive Chairman of Opobo Nkoro Local Government Area, Barrister James A. James has reiterated that his administration is committed to the principles of inclusiveness, transparency, and accountability.

Speaking during the Inauguration of the 8th legislative Assembly, the chairman called on all stakeholders to support his administration in its march towards writing a new chapter of progress for the Local Government Area.

The Executive Chairman promised that his administration would build on the foundation already laid as the government is to initiate projects that will stand the test of time.

After the inauguration of the Legislative Assembly , the councillors went into election of house officers.

At the end of the election, the following officers emerged: Hon. Samuel I Nengia became the leader, Hon. Christiana Telema was elected the deputy leader, while Hon. Charles Fubara is to serve as the Chief Whip.

The leader of Opobo Nkoro Legislative Assembly, Hon. Barr. Samuel I Nengia, the Deputy leader, Hon. Christiana Emmanuel Telema, and the Chief Whip, Hon. Charles D Fubara Pledged to work with the chairman to ensure delivery of good governance to the people.
