‎Huawei Perfects Mate 80 Main and Zoom Cameras

Huawei

‎Huawei is reportedly working on a custom main camera and a low-light zoom sensor for the Mate 80. While the Pura 80 has redefined periscope technology, the upcoming flagship series is set to enhance it even further.

‎SmartPikachu has disclosed more information regarding the camera technology of the Huawei Mate 80 series, specifically the main and zoom sensors.

‎This new approach is expected to maintain clarity in the phone’s telephoto lens in low-light situations. As per the source, the Mate 80 is equipped with a distinctive main camera sensor and an adjustable aperture.

‎Early leaks suggest that the company is collaborating with SmartSens and may utilise its latest offerings, the SC590XS and SC595XS, for its premium models.

‎Additionally, there might be a separate solution for the standard and Mate 80 Pro. These sensors may not match the performance of the top-tier variants, but are anticipated to provide satisfactory results.

‎Moreover, the leak indicates that Huawei has developed a new low-light telephoto sensor. It could feature an improved prism mechanism to deliver macrophotography capabilities similar to or surpassing those of the Pura 80 Ultra. However, the precise method remains uncertain at this time.

‎In addition to refining the main and zoom camera technology for the Mate 80 series, Huawei is also concentrating on enhancing the video features of its flagship.

‎The company is upgrading 4K frame stabilisation, which plays a crucial role in the post-production process of digitally smoothing out shaky footage in ultra-high definition. Consequently, users can expect a more professional video processing experience than ever before!

‎Similar to the Mate 70 series, Huawei is fortifying the integration of software and hardware for the Mate 80 devices to ultimately enhance the user experience.

‎On the software front, the company is preparing HarmonyOS 6.0, which will include subtle yet impressive features. It aims to bolster the security and AI aspects of the device, ensuring users’ data is protected in every regard. Additionally, there will be some modifications to the user interface.
