Abuah LGA Chairman slashes fare fees

Owing to the growing harsh economic realities in the country with government at all levels looking for ways to ameliorate the suffering of the masses, transport fare from Port Harcourt to Abua/Odual local government area of Rivers State, is now N500.

A statement made available to newsmen by the Press Secretary to the Council, Zinami Iwariso, disclosed that the council chairman, Daniel O. Daniel, has further directed that operators of the mass transit scheme should ensure that they adhere to the four passengers per seat limit.

He stated that the reduction in fare is due to the harsh economic situation in the country.

Similarly, the council chairman has constituted 8 man committee on public utility assessment, with Onidi Wariboko Isaiah as chairman and Godwin Umom as secretary.
