RATTAWU Commends Participants of NLC Women Committee Elections

The National President of Radio Television Theatre and Arts Workers Union of Nigeria (RATTAWU); Comrade Prince Emeka Kalu (Magic Fingers), has lauded the participation of RATTAWU Women in the just concluded Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC) Women Committee Elections, conducted throughout the Federation.

Prince Kalu said the commitment and dexterity exhibited by RATTAWU Women in seeking elective positions was inline with the Vision and Mission which the current leadership of RATTAWU under his leadership seeks to promote by mobilising Women for greater roles in the Committee of Trade Unions and the Country at large.

The National President said that the Media and Cultural space, has opened opportunity to maximise potentials in leadership as gender discrimination has no place in the current drive towards the transformation of RATTAWU of our dreams.

He assured RATTAWU Women that the union will continue to play its pivotal role in the National Gender Policy that aims to promote equality, empowerment of Women, addressing systemic barriers, thus, encouraging inclusive development and advocating for policy change in the Country.

RATTAWU National President congratulated the President of NLC, Comrade Joe Ajaero and the Chairperson Women Commission of NLC, Comrade Deborah Yusuf (PhD) for organising a successful elections across the federation.

President Kalu added that RATTAWU Platform will always be made available for proper and effective dissemination of information of NLC activities to Congress members in the Country.
