The Rivers State Government and multi-national companies operating in Eleme, have been called upon to accept the new traditional ruler of Ebubu Clan, His Royal Highness, Emere Peter Oguru, and relate with him on issues concerning the clan.
A prominent indigene of the clan, Chief James Adewai-Chichi, who made the call, said the emergence of Emere Oguru, was a collective decision of the four communities that make up the clan, hence the need for the traditional ruler to be accorded due recognition.

Also expressing his view, an Associate Professor with the University of Port Harcourt, Dr. Obaro Osaro, while noting that the emergence of Emere Oguru will usher in peace and development, urged the people of Ebubu clan to give him the maximum support.
Emere Oguru had earlier thanked the people for choosing him and gave assurance that his reign will bring peace, unity and progress in the clan.
