Verification of Civil Servants Begins July 24, Says Rivers Govt

The Rivers State Government, has approved the commencement of a verification exercise for all civil servants and pensioners in the state and local government areas.

The government under the leadership of the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ette Ekwe Ibas, made this known in a statement by the Acting Head of Service, Dr. Inyingi S. I. Brown, on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

The statement revealed that the first phase of the exercise will begin on Thursday, July 24, 2025, and will involve staff of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

It noted that, “all affected staff are required to present themselves for verification as scheduled and are advised to consult the official timetable for their specific dates.

“Staff must bring along all required documents as stated in the official notice.”

The statement added that a separate announcement would be made to inform pensioners of the date for their own verification.
