FG Unveils Tuition-Free Advanced TTTP

The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the launch of the 2025/2026 Technical Teachers Training Programme (TTTP), a tuition-free, one-year Post-Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) designed to enhance the expertise of secondary school educators specializing in technical and vocational subjects nationwide.

The programme aims to ‘re-energize TVET’ by equipping teachers with up-to-date teaching methods and ensuring their knowledge aligns with current industry requirements. Applications for the TTTP will be accepted online from 8 to 21 July 8.

To be eligible, teachers must currently be instructing technical or vocational subjects in public secondary technical schools or colleges and have at least five years remaining until their retirement.

This programme is anticipated to elevate the standard of technical education, better-preparing students for the demands of the 21st-century workforce and maintaining Nigeria’s global competitiveness.

The PGDE curriculum will encompass diverse fields, including Technical Education, Vocational Education, Building Technology Education, Business Education, Home Economics & Hospitality, Agricultural Education, Automobile, Computer Science Education, and Electrical/Electronics, among others.

The inaugural cohort of the TTTP will be facilitated in collaboration with six universities: Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria; University of Nigeria, Nsukka; Federal University of Technology, Minna; University of Benin; Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi; and Adeyemi Federal University of Education, Ondo.

Interested teachers are advised to apply by visiting the Federal Ministry of Education’s official website at education.gov.ng and navigating to the TTTP link, or by accessing the application form directly at https://forms.gle/wWFMxcdquehz9Fjx7
The Ministry explicitly warned that submitting multiple applications will result in disqualification.
