Tanzania’s national team, the Taifa Stars, are expected to arrive in Uyo on Sunday ahead of their 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The early arrival is intended to give head coach Miguel Gamondi sufficient time to prepare his players for the Matchday Three encounter.
Gamondi has invited 24 players for the double-header against Nigeria, comprising 12 locally based and 12 foreign-based professionals.
Nigeria will host Tanzania at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, November 13.
The two teams will meet again four days later in the Matchday Four fixture scheduled for Dar es Salaam.
