Former Italy manager Antonio Conte is reportedly interested in taking charge of Manchester United as pressure mounts on current head coach Michael Carrick.
Conte, 57, has previously managed Premier League clubs Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. He is currently without a club following his reported departure from Napoli in June 2026.
According to Italian outlet Calcio Mercato, Conte believes he is ready for another challenge in English football and is positioning himself as a potential replacement for Carrick.
United’s poor run of results has intensified scrutiny of Carrick, with the club sitting 13th in the Premier League table after six matches. The Red Devils have also struggled to find consistency across competitions, increasing questions about the manager’s future.
