The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has expressed grief over the crash of a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aircraft in the Igbokoda area of Ilaje Local Government Area of Ondo State, which claimed the lives of military personnel and other passengers on board.
The NGF Chairman and Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, conveyed the forum’s condolences in a statement issued on Tuesday by the NGF spokesman, Yunusa Abdullahi.
AbdulRazaq, on behalf of the 36 state governors and the people of Nigeria, commiserated with the families, colleagues and loved ones of those who lost their lives in the incident.

“The Chairman, Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF), H.E. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, has expressed profound sadness over the tragic crash of a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) aircraft in the Igbokoda area of Ilaje Local Government Area, Ondo State, which resulted in the loss of gallant military personnel and other passengers on board,” the statement said.
The forum also extended its sympathies to the leadership of the Nigerian Air Force and the entire Armed Forces of Nigeria following the tragedy.
The NGF commended the deceased military personnel for their service and sacrifice in the line of duty, saying their bravery and commitment to national security would remain etched in the nation’s memory.
“The forum prays for comfort and fortitude for the bereaved families and the nation as they navigate this painful loss,” the statement added.
