BBNaija S11: How Our Finalists Spent Their Independence Day

The house woke up to Independence Day celebrations, with green-and-white outfits, a pancake breakfast, plenty of banter and, later, a lively karaoke session. What started as a relaxed morning quickly turned into a packed day of music, heartfelt conversations, dinner, and one final pool party.

8:00 am: Morning chores

The housemates were up early, with Sheba already in the Independence Day spirit. She declared that the “kids” still sleeping needed to be taught a lesson about the significance of the day.

In the Closet, Tram ironed his clothes while confidently claiming that he could do 200 push-ups without breaking a sweat. He also joked that he was too excited to sleep and planned to stay awake until Sunday.

Tram later asked Ricky if he would vote for Oyin for MIPOW, pointing out that she was already sweeping the floor and putting in the work. Ricky agreed, saying he had supported his girl the previous week even though she had slept through much of it.

Meanwhile, Barry washed dishes while singing before getting started on cleaning the house.

9:00 am: Independence Day brief and merch time

After getting her makeup done in the Closet, Sheba joined the other housemates in the Main Lounge, where HoH Barry read Biggie’s Independence Day brief.

Biggie wished everyone a happy Independence Day and instructed the housemates to head to the Storeroom to collect their green-and-white outfits.

The housemates soon got their merch, while Oyin settled in the Garden to work on her makeup.

10:00 am: Pancake prep

Music filled the house as Barry and Temi Nkem sang along to “Mr Barry” while dancing in front of the mirror.

In the Kitchen, Ricky got busy cooking while Barry prepared pancakes for everyone. By the end of the hour, Sheba and Temi Nkem were dancing together in front of the mirror.

11:00 am: Breakfast, bonding and plenty of banter

As they enjoyed breakfast, Sheba told Temi Nkem that the pancakes looked delicious. Temi Nkem agreed, telling Barry that the pancakes were amazing and thanking him for making them.

Over at the Wall of Fame, Aikou compared Sheba to Mercedes, prompting Temi Nkem to argue that she was more mature than Sheba. The two women chased Aikou around as he tried to escape the teasing.

Sheba reminded him that Ebuka had told them they should no longer hide themselves, joking that Aikou had chosen to be wicked. Temi Nkem added that Sheba was essentially her younger version.

Elsewhere, Tram tried to relax after breakfast, while Oyin told Aikou that she wanted to play with his hair. The two then had a deeper conversation about whether a joke can ever really be “just a joke.”

12:00 pm: Snooker and afternoon vibes

Tram revealed that Aikou had won their first snooker game 9–3 and was already leading in the second round. Aikou attributed his success to luck, while Oyin wondered why people did not play with him more often.

Temi Nkem kept herself entertained by singing and dancing in front of the mirror. She also spoke into her microphone, asking Biggie to give her something to do because everyone seemed to be sleeping and she did not want to join them.

She eventually picked up a snooker cue herself, with Aikou joining her.

In the HoH Lounge, Tram told Oyin that he suspected Flora might be a gambit, although he admitted he could not explain exactly why. Meanwhile, Flora was in the Orange Bedroom, singing along to the music and dancing.

1:00 pm: Tram opens up to Oyin

In the HoH Lounge, Tram opened up to Oyin, telling her that she was his favourite person in the house.

He said he loved Flora too but felt that he and Oyin were similar because they were both smart, straightforward, and business-minded, while also having room to grow.

Tram also admitted that he felt his relationship with Sheba had reached its limit, noting that they had not spoken all day. He added that he planned to track her down outside the house because he was unsure how the media rounds after the show would work.

2:00 pm: Karaoke time

Barry gathered everyone in the Main Lounge to read Biggie’s karaoke brief. Each housemate was given two songs, along with additional songs they could choose from.

A Lucky Dip Box determined the performance order, with every housemate required to perform both songs.

Barry opened the show with Asake’s “Terminator,” followed by Bluethopia performing Ayra Starr’s “Bloody Samaritan.” Oyin then took on Ayra Starr’s “Commas.”

Ricky performed BNXN’s “Gwagwalada,” while Oyin returned to the stage for Burna Boy’s “It’s Plenty.”

Tram helped Temi Nkem find her key before she performed Burna Boy’s “City Boys.” Aikou followed with Davido’s “Fall,” while Flora performed “Be There Still,” with the other housemates singing along.

Temi Nkem eventually closed the session with King Promise’s “Terminator,” performing alongside Tram.

3:00 pm: Chill time and more gist

After karaoke, the housemates relaxed in the Main Lounge.

Barry complimented Oyin, prompting Flora to joke that he was a “marriageable” man. Oyin complimented Barry’s eyes, but he insisted that his personality was what really mattered.

Later, Sheba and Ricky discussed former housemates, including Mercedes, who had left the house in Week Two and reportedly felt she should have stayed longer.

In the Kitchen, Barry and Bluethopia got busy preparing food.

4:00 pm: More karaoke and an Independence dinner surprise

The karaoke session continued in the Main Lounge, with Flora getting her turn on the microphone.

Afterwards, Ricky and Sheba chatted about life in the house and whether people could actually make money from conflict. Sheba explained that she had simply entered the house and shown everyone who she truly was.

Later, Barry gathered the finalists in the Lounge to read another brief. Biggie had organised a special Independence Dinner for them and provided outfits for the occasion.

As preparations began, Sheba encouraged Flora to get her makeup done, reminding her that it was finale week and they needed to keep the energy going.

5:00 pm: Getting ready for the Independence Dinner

Sheba and Bluethopia discussed their plans for the evening. Sheba said she felt like she was going to have even more fun, while Bluethopia admitted that she was nervous about Sunday, particularly seeing Ebuka again and eventually discovering what had been said about her online.

The Storeroom opened, allowing the housemates to collect their Independence Dinner outfits.

While Oyin and Temi Nkem worked on their makeup, Oyin jokingly warned Barry not to embarrass her at dinner. Barry promised he would behave, while Flora backed him up and called him a gentleman.

Flora then jokingly said she was trying to give Barry advice about his “marriage” to Oyin as everyone continued preparing for the evening.

6:00 pm: Tram looks forward to going home

Tram told Ricky that he was excited about reuniting with his loved ones after the show.

Ricky recalled once spending only a few days away from his club and already having friends asking where he had gone, giving him an idea of what it might feel like to return after spending weeks in the Big Brother house.

For Tram, the person he was most excited to see was his mother. He said she had been one of the happiest and proudest people throughout his journey on the show.

Tram also believed his mother would be proud of how he handled his altercation with Keivo, particularly because he chose not to fight back. He admitted that he had previously struggled with anger, making his response to the situation especially meaningful to him.

The conversation later shifted to life after the show, including the social media growth they expected to return to.

7:00 pm: Independence Dinner begins 🇳🇬

The finalists headed to the Arena for their special Independence Dinner, where they were treated to delicious food and a live performance from Loud Urban Choir.

The housemates soaked up the atmosphere, dancing, laughing, and enjoying one another’s company as they celebrated Independence Day together.

8:00 pm: Alternate Sounds brings the energy

The Independence Dinner continued with more music as Alternate Sounds took the stage, bringing live-band energy to the celebration.

Biggie later checked in with the housemates about how they felt about the evening, and it was clear that they had enjoyed the experience.

With dinner wrapped up, however, there was little time to rest. The finalists returned to the house to prepare for the final pool party of the season.

9:00 pm: One last pool party

The finalists hit the pool for their final pool party of the season.

With the finale only days away, the housemates made the most of one of their last nights together in Biggie’s house. They danced, relaxed, and enjoyed the moment, soaking up the atmosphere before the competition came to an end.

10:00 pm: Grooving into the night

The pool party continued as the finalists kept dancing and enjoying the music.

With the finale drawing closer, the housemates were determined to make the most of every remaining moment of their Show Ya Sef journey.

11:00 pm: Quiet moments and late-night gist

After the night’s activities, the finalists returned to the house.

Aikou had a quiet moment alone in the Loft while eating an apple. He became emotional, shed a few tears, and spoke to himself as he reflected on the moment.

In the bedroom, Ricky and Sheba settled down to eat together. Bluethopia and Temi Nkem soon joined them, jokingly complaining that the pair were eating without them.

Later, Barry joined the group nearby, and the conversation became playful. Bluethopia then told Barry that she felt like farting, sending everyone into laughter.

It was another memorable day in Biggie’s house, filled with music, food, laughter, heartfelt conversations, and one last Independence Day celebration before the long-awaited finale.
